Soko came to Clan Greenpool intending to make it a pit stop on his way, but soon found that the Gladekeeper’s lands were welcoming and this clan felt like home. For a time, he filled the position of messenger, learning magic, and meeting a guardian dragon named Calla. Soko and Calla were never serious, but they had a son named Amhlaoibh (pr. "Owlee"), who now lives with Clan Bhrasenia.

In his time as messenger, he met the fellow messenger dragon Ayala. He and Ayala began as pen pals, eventually meeting in person and later leading their two clans in diplomacy to alliance. Soko helped Ayala learn draconic sign, communicated often, and became close friends with her. Soko is always reassured knowing his son and his close friend are near each other, despite their distance from himself at most times.

Not long after Amh moved away, Calla passed of an illness that swept Clan Greenpool. By this time, he and Soko were simply friends, but Soko still left the clan for a time to collect himself after the loss of Calla and so many other friends. When he returned to the clan, his role as messenger was no longer necessary, and he began exploring his new options and freedom. He soon met a newer addition to the clan, Aspen. Soko attempted to learn some of the trades of his clanmembers, Aspen's construction and woodworking included, but was extremely ill-suited to it. The two began a friendship, though, and eventually that friendship progressed toward a romantic partnership.
