Tephra

Tephra is a spirit born of the Great Furnace itself in the form of a dragon, sent down to Sornieth by the Flamecaller during an eruption. She arrived in the main grounds of the Army in a burst of fire and deep red light, soon coalescing into the shape of a Skydancer. She now resides with the Army, serving as a liason between the Flamecaller and the Army. She reports to her goddess of the actions of the Army, although nobody knows if the Flamecaller ever replies. If so, Tephra keeps the information to herself. Her hide glows like the molten rock of her true home, an ever-shifting mosaic of deep reds that radiate the heat of the Great Furnace. She is clothed in ethereal ashen garb, which always smells of smoke, and an enchanted hat which helps her keep her dragon form. She has found Obsidian a worthy mate, and the two are indeed a sight to behold-the graceful spirit summoning lava from the earth, and the forceful Guardian slugging enemies with his glowing-hot claws.


A Jackalope whose fire has gone out is her companion, the horned hare often found seated at the base of her neck.
