Biography
SwirlingVine was born in a nest of three. His other two brothers paled in comparison to him, even the Pearlcatcher. SwirlingVine was everything his parents had hoped he would be: brave, stealthy, wise, and decisive. They adored him, to say it in the least.
His Fae brother left as soon as he could, wanting to be away from the parents that so adored their son. SwirlingVine's other brother stayed, planning to undermine him and gain his parent's favor.
One night, SwirlingVine awoke to find him rustling around his sleeping area. Jumping to the conclusion that his brother was trying to kill him, SwirlingVine leaped out at him, screeching something akin to a Wildclaw attack roar. It stunned his brother for a moment, which gave SwirlingVine enough time to claw holes in his wings. At this moment, his brother howled in agony, waking up the whole camp, but SwirlingVine wasn't done. He bit his brother's neck viciously, drawing in on the magical powers around him to end his life almost instantaneously. The dead dragon slumped as the life went out of him.
To the dragons now crowding around him, he was a murderer, unprovoked and savage. He believed he was acting in his own self-defense, but even his parents disagreed. They disowned him while he was still dripping with his own brother's blood.
He left them, and the scrap of feelings he had before fled. He was cold and precise, doing anything and everything to keep himself alive. His brother wasn't the first to die under his talons and magical might.
He became a hired assassin, killing for money to keep himself fed. He even became wealthy off his job. His life wasn't quite good, but it certainly was comfortable.
One day, a mysterious male Tundra approached him, speaking that his leader, Akadelma, needed a dragon like him on her side. He approached the beautiful queen, and she requested that he be a part of the clan. She offered him safety and food, and, in return, he would offer up his services as a mastermind killer. He agreed to her loose terms, and remains in her clan, awaiting his next assignment.
Personality:
SwirlingVine is a cold, quiet dragon. He'll do anything it takes to survive, even if it is disgraceful, dirty, or back-stabbing. Loyalty isn't a word in his dictionary.
He is a master of disguise, and not just physically. His personality can seemingly change between days, and he'll use whichever one he believes is best suited for the situation he is in. He devotes himself to learn his victims, then concoct a personality that would be perfect to get him on his side.
Even though his first kill was physical, he has decided to go on the less dangerous route. He poisons drinks with long-term toxins that will kill the victim hours after he has left. Or, he'll use his magic to kill them. The most "claws-on" killing he does is getting close enough throw a leaf bolt at his opponent.
He is manipulative, taking advantage of his target's weak points in a fight or argument. He strikes fast, hard, and all in the right places. He can take down a target with words just as easily as he can with poison.
Most dragons take assassins for fools, killing for money. SwirlingVine is no fool. He has never been caught, never even been suspected in a murder. His claws are red with blood, but he somehow convinces the world that it's red paint.
