Sundance

This overly small coatl or small in regards to most of his clan mates. He for all intents and purposes is a little ray of sunshine that takes his job as a messenger dragon very seriously. Their is no place in Sorineth that he feels is too far to travel no matter the weather or the temperament of the elemental gods at any given time. He found errand during festivals to be the most fun no matter where he went. The decorations, the unique shops and events always tended to get him into a slight bit of trouble. He was always coming home from a festival with too many items that he did not leave home with but he did always try to think in terms of what might be liked or needed by the clan besides bring home festive trinkets for himself. He has had some unusual bouts of travels on his wide variety of errands all across the wide world.

The story of his stony wings is one of the stories he always likes to share the most, they are both a blessing and an accident all at the same time. His lovely shimmering gold wings were changed to Petrified Pinions one Rockbreaker Ceremony while he was traveling through. It was a spell that had went a little awry and he happened to be the dragon that took the brunt of the blast while in the festival grounds. The group of dragons that surrounded Sundance gasped at the change that overtook the young coatl as he dropped his messenger bags and half spilled the contents when the light flashed brightly around him and he collapsed to the ground. First he had been concerned that he had damaged something when he fell or someone when he collapsed, but when he could not lift his wings he then understood the other dragons reactions. Craning his head he caught a glimpse of the now stone feathers that replaced his feathered ones and his brows lofted into a bright wrinkle. The dragon's spell that went awry shoved their way though the crowd to apologize for what they had done. Sundance for his part to everyone's surprise was very amicable with what had happened, he never grew angry or upset, in fact he seemed to be quite excited with the prospects of what his clan could do so that he could fly once again.

For the trouble that was caused for him, the caster of the spell, lovely swamp hued Guardian named Korra, made him a guest of honor of the Clan of the Golden Waves, for all the trouble they caused, forth duration of time that Sundance stayed with the clan before he could be collected by his own clan mates. She was also the one that suggested that they should work on some form of wing exercises to see if he would be capable of flight on his own sometime in the near future. This of course would not be plausible or even probable given the fact that his wing density was now close to his own regular body weight so there would need to be some form of support that was needed if not a lot of magic. Which would not be out of the ordinary for the Stormcaller's Reach clan given they have one very knowledgeable Arcane Engineer on their staff and he is always looking for a new project to work on that would pose a challenge for his arcane arts. But he did humor Korra and by the time that a pair of his clan mates showed up with a specialized flight gurney that he would be transported in he had gained some strength from the exercises to that he was not dragging his wings fully and found that he could fold them. The entirety of the Golden Waves clan wished Sundance well and asked for reports on his progress and that they would love to see him return for a visit when he was able to fly again. At least most of the clan was optimistic, especially Korra, she wanted to see him happy and healthy once again. Despite her outwards appearance she was quite mortified at her small mishap as others deemed it. She was very happy that Sundance was not one of those dragons that was aggressive and irate over things that happen out of the ordinary to them. Sundance thank everyone for their hospitality, especially Korra. He promised to write when he was able and soon was on his way back to the clan.

Once he returned to his clan he was quickly whisked away first to the infirmary to be looked over by the the doctors there and be assessed what sort of treatment that he should undergo. It took Drakhan actually arriving at the hospital wing of the great lair and see Sundance for himself that finally made the doctors release the Ivory Tiger coatl into their care. Though that may also have been because he took up residence I Sundance's room with his spellbook and a few tools. From the infirmary he was taken to Drakhan's laboratory, but instead of being hauled away on a gurney Drakhan gave Sundance the dignity to walk there on his own despite the weight of his wings. He did lag behind the twisting noodle of a dragon, but as far as spirals go Drakhan is quite unusual since he actually has an attention span.
