Biography

Chopshop is in charge of Delphi's resource acquisitions for one simple reason: there is nothing that he cannot scrounge up in a timely fashion when called on to do so. The clan's heavy emphasis on research and development as well as various specialized projects means that a great many dragons rely on him heavily to procure rare or hard-to-find materials on a regular basis, and he has yet to let them down. He also prides himself on the fact that Delphi has never once gone hungry on his watch, even as it has so rapidly expanded.

In spite of all of this, he is neither well trusted nor well liked by anyone. While many Ridgebacks are compulsive 'borrowers', Chopshop borders on kleptomania. Anything not bolted down that comes within arms reach of him runs the risk of vanishing--he has even been known to 'steal' things belonging to himself. Thus far, his usefulness as a scrounger and master thief has outweighed the annoyance of the clan's higher ups and his behavior has been excused, but the Ethics and Rulings council tries to have a set of eyes on him at all time to keep him under control and they are constantly on the lookout for someone among his scavenger teams who might be able to ultimately replace him.

This does nothing for Chopshop's sense of personal security, and he tends to be slightly defensive and standoffish because of it. He constantly reminds anyone who questions him that the clan could not run smoothly without him.
