The other dragon looked up from his pile of supplies.
"What is it?" He asked rather sharply. I haven't got time for this, we're leaving for the Sandswept Delta soon."
"I know. And I was wondering if I could join in this time."
"What?"
"I want to come to the coliseum as well. I don't have any hatchlings at the moment so I'd like to do something with my free time."

He looked her up and down and snorted. "You, the pastel-pretty flower child? What'll you do to fight the Beastclans, scatter some petals and give them hayfever?"
Aster gave a harsh laugh. "Are you doubting my strength? How cute, you remind me of a dragon I knew in my previous clan who did the same thing. Never mind, he can't make that mistake again."

Tord felt strangely nervous. "Well I suppose you can come with us, just don't hold us back."
The pastel girl's face brightened. "Oh thank you! And don't worry, I won't hold you back. If anything, you'll only hold me back."

She turned to walk away.

"Wait-" Tord interuppted. "What do you mean that dragon 'can't make that mistake again'. Can't?"

Aster chuckled darkly.

"He's not around to make it."
