The smell of blood was repulsive. She was told to get used to it.

"You were born to do this."

The sound of bone cracking was enough to shake her to her core. Her training as a child-- it was traumatizing to say the least, a warrior was supposed to be brave and strong but she recoiled in so much fear. She wanted to vanish.

"Whats wrong with you?"

The first time she sunk her claws into her prey-- a small mammal, and felt the warm life-blood, would be the last. Born to be a killer and raised from the ground up in a valley of carnage Lunasa was a terrified hatchling. She never had the affinity to be a warrior, or the guts but that was all she was raised to do. Until they day she couldn't anymore.

Her instructor demanded she finish this, a Fae, on the ground unable to fly. It wasn't fair. She declined. Her instructor rose from his perch to strike her but her training had at last come to be, she struck him down by instinct and turned back in horror. She had never killed another, in all her training she had always refused but now. Now she couldn't turn back. So she left.

She left for the fields and the dark groves, whichever would take her away from this place. She vowed never to hurt another, she would study what was alive and travel with the shadows of her past looming over; constantly chasing her away from all that was good.
