Ren is not like the typical Pearlcatcher. He's not as stuck up and full of himself, and isn't the type to run from a fight like most of his breed do, choosing to stand and fight than flee, which catches many off guard who know pearlcatchers as cowards.
He's a wanderer, never liking to stay in one place for very long. He's not exactly sure what it is he's looking for on his travels, so he's usually lost most of the time, but he finds being lost can lead him to interesting things and so it doesn't bother him too much. He has been to the same place quite a few times, but other times he finds himself in areas he hasn't yet visited.

He cares very little for the feud between his kind and the Imperials, in fact, he couldn't care at all for it. Having been adopted by two Imperials, he has no reason to hate the other breed and thus takes no part in the feud between the two races.
Though he does have a calm exterior most of the time, he can get a pretty bad temper if pushed too far, though he tries not to be the first to throw a punch, he will attack if he's pushed to the breaking point though, which he would really like to avoid.

His only current friend is a small Fae named, Gadget, who tends to follow him around after he saved him from a pack of wolves. He never asked for his company, he just sort of started following the pearlcatcher on his own accord, and Ren didn't really care much to tell him to leave, though he does find the little guy to be pretty annoying at times, he does actually enjoy the Fae's company.

His mate he saved after she had been attacked for whatever reason by some dragon who she somehow managed to **** off. He had planned to just leave her to her own problems, but after much thought and nagging from Gadget, he eventually helped her, and even though she acted like she didn't need his help, she did thank him and started to accompany him as well on his travels.
