Harper

Accent: Soul Gems

A quiet child. She was brought from the Tangled Wood by Shore, Eve and Martin. For a time she was scared of Martin, hiding behind others whenever he appeared. Most of he lair mates credit it to his overwhelming size, for he towered over her when she was a hatchling. But with time and promises she has out grown that fear. In fact now she finds comfort in his watchful presence and soft spoken manner, and often visits him at his steppe, never speaking a word, but simply checking that he is there. At first Martin was unaware of her presence, for she can go unnoticed by most if she so chooses. Despite this, Martin has grown used to these silent visits and has noted that they often occur after he and Danzi return from travel abroad.

Harper is very good friends with Arealmess and Lilly, both of whom have very loud personalities and often over shadow quiet Harper. However anyone that pays close attention, *cough* Martin *cough* would notice the deep bond shared between the three. Lily and Arealmess value Harper's opinion even if it is sometime hard to hear. Which is a problem for most dragons in the lair, for Harper does not usually speak above a hushed whisper.

The only instance in which the lair has witnessed Harper raise her voice was when a passing traveler made a discourteous joke to Arealmess about coloring. He was met by a blatant, equally rude reply from Harper outlining all of his own inadequacies in vivid detail. The reaction stunned everyone close enough to hear to silence, which was quiet a few dragons considering the resonant volume of her sudden speech. Naturally, the visiting dragon was not amused and made for a a rebuttal, however found himself blocked from her view by Martin's hulking mass quickly but forcefully asked to leave by Danzi.

Currently, Harper is being trained in flying techniques by Eve and secretly wishes to travel with her and Shore.
