Horace came to the clan with a history that he doesn't care to elaborate on. He's mildly confrontational and likes to tease, but has no desire to take over any leadership responsibilities. He gets along well with most of his clanmates. The one he has the greatest respect for however, is Barume, who saw through his initial awkwardness in battle and selected him for his fighting band. He has since become a formidable warrior.

Recently having lost his lover, Horace did not imagine he would pursue another lover, let alone a mate. However, he felt himself drawn to the young Laura, who was so bright and cheerful. Looking at her artwork stirred his old, battered heart and reminded him of what love used to be like. He opened up about his past for the first time and she accepted him anyway. He would eventually tell her that falling in love with her was better than the first time he fell in love.
