Along side Cynder, and Galdorcraeft, Orthopox helps run the clan hatchery. Most of his time is spent tending the shop, introducing potential buyers to the hatchlings, and answering questions. He has a love for silver, and his main hobby is Familiar bonding. Orthopox's early life was a bit rocky. Being hatched from an Unhatched Lighting in Arcane's domain had an unusual effect on the young Lightning dragon. The sudden, and traumatic change to a Wildclaw shortly after didn't help matters. He was originally given the name Gituku, an African Kikuyu name meaning "notoriously shady and sly." Which he quickly lived up to by hatching a nest of Spirals with his first mate, much to the dismay of his clan. The prank lost him a mate, but gained him another and some new genes too. He became very close to his second mate, to the point of following her when she left for a Nature clan. Regrettably the two eventually drifted apart, and Orthopox returned to the Arcane flight with a different clan. While he loved his new clan dearly, it took him several months to get over his old mate. After several ill-fated relationships he met the love of his life, Nightmare, a first generation Shadow Tundra. Orthopox helped the newly hatched Tundra through the difficult transition into a fully gened Coatl. He went as far as getting a third gene to show his support for his new mate. The two have been inseparable since. |
