Jet

Being a leader is rarely easy, and getting to that point is always a struggle. Jet has taken up the mantle, though; she fought her way to the top, armed with her cutting wit and sarcasm, as well as a good set of claws and an iron will to keep her going. However, she cares deeply for her clan, particularly those who've ingratiated themselves to her. These days, those sharp and dangerous weapons she has at her disposal are used to protect just as often as they are to attack. Jet is every bit as fierce in her love for those who care for her as she is with enemies.

Some find it amusing that a fire dragon is the leader of a water clan, but that's just how the chips fell. Jet's original clan had no funds to care for a new hatchling when she was born; she was sold early, and she wound up in her current clan. She had a hard time adjusting at first, and though she'd be hard-pressed to say so, she still remembers and appreciates the bits of kindness and caring that some of the other dragons showed her then. Sarcasm is one those who took her in; Jet views her as a mother figure in her life, someone who's been there for her for a long time now. Lapislazuli was the first to show her real kindness, though, and that created a bond that has hardly been shaken. Between those few who helped her along and her stubbornness, she managed to settle in quite well, earning the respect of more and more of the clan as she went.

Diamond holds a special place in Jet's heart, a different one than the rest of the clan and even her best friend. Despite being very different and rarely seeing eye to eye, Diamond is still cherished in Jet's eyes. Their relationship may be rocky, on and off at the drop of the hat, but Jet will still love him, no matter what.
