Zo Zephstric

Zo is the clan stylist and in charge of making sure everyone has a functional and presentable outfit for battle or for meetings with allies. He's pretty much head-over-heels for Impulse, but doesn't have the guts to tell him.

His apparel budget is so small because Bloodwing doesn't care that much

Mating is a matter of necessity in Bloodwing's clan. True love flourishes very rarely among clanmates and children are born for the purpose of work or exaltation. Nothing's forced, of course, she's not that cruel. Science truly is a wonderful way to bypass all that nitty gritty stuff.

It is in this way Zo and Haanu are connected. "Genetic partners", they're called. Zo's DNA is extracted and fertilized with Haanu's, then the pearlcatcher bears his children. Zo is nervous about becoming a father. Unlike Bloodwing, he feels it's necessary to show his offspring some degree of love, but the clan leader isn't too concerned with individual clanmate's feelings on the matter.
