From the very beginning, Ambrosi's family expected him to join them in the lightning workforce and to stay there his entire life. The figurative "pink sheep" of the dark-feathered family, he struggled for years working alongside his younger brother Rook, to whom the drudging, repetitive, grueling labor came easily. Somehow. Always the artistic and creative one, Ambrosi accrued quite the collection of write-ups and scoldings for "coloring outside the lines" as it were. Finally fed up and hoping for better things, he took off one night and never looked back. His travels took him all across Sornieth, to the Sunbeam Ruins, to the Tangled Wood, to Dragonhome, even crossing the seas aboard a few ships. Along the way he truly found himself, enjoying the company of dragons and beastfolk of all colors, sizes and shapes. When hunting harpies set upon him as he crossed through the Zephyr Steppes, he barely fought them off and escaped the rest of the flock. There the Reedsong clan found him, exhausted, bloody and filthy after hiding from the harpies' trackers, and took him in. While he only expected to stay long enough to be healed and then be off again on his journey, one particular dragon, Posie, caught his eye. Since that day, he often returned to the Reedsong healers, no matter how minor the injury or wound, using them as an excuse to try and talk to Posie again. |
