Prideful and openly arrogant, Priam is in many ways a stereotypical Pearlcatcher, thinking of himself as the pinnacle of his species and the best his clan has produced. The similarities end, however, when his temper is roused - and, unfortunately for future inciters of his wrath, he is terrifyingly easy to anger.

Often seen as a 'jerk', Priam has proved to be more of a pessimist and rough-mannered dragon than a dragon who outright angers others for fun.

Mate to Helena, Priam cares for the younger Pearlcatcher very much. Quite a bit older than his younger mate, he tends to get very aggressive when Helena seems to be in the slightest hint of danger at all. He sees Helena as the spur for their victory when he decides to go out for a hunt; by keeping his mate in mind, Priam is filled with thoughts of winning.

One of the more aggresive members of the clan, Priam was one of the three hatchlings, the others being Eleos and Zelos, that travelled together and eventually came to Clan Chalybis upon Daedalus finding and adopting the trio.
