The Librarian

Being an Earth dragon, Chocola has a fondness for natural materials. She grew distressed when the library in her home clan became damaged and set out to learn how to repair books.

She had been resting outside Effort Clan's territory when Maripose, helping out the scavenging party, stumbled upon her and they got to talking. Maripose had been meaning to start a library in Clan Effort for quite some time, but had no idea how to build one or where to start with collecting books. Chocola had an architect friend from a neighboring clan called Iolite who could help her with creating more concrete plans. Chocola had the skills to build, but no knowledge of what plans were necessary.

Once Iolite arrived, he and Chocola spent days turning Maripose's den into a functioning library. When they were finished, Chocola joked that Maripose would have to live in the library now. Maripose pointed out that, in fact, Chocola had made her home in his lair, thus they should be mates. Chocola accepted, and they have been friends and lovers ever since.

After Iolite's death, Chocola had an itch to return to her homeland. Two generations of her children left for other lands, and Chocola could not have been more distraught. Time away in Dragonhome was what she needed. And her mate, Maripose, was all for that.

While in Dragonhome, Chocola was able to recover, and she and Maripose mated in her native land, producing a clutch of three eggs. Her youngest son Arzhur died on the way back to The Fishspine Reef, and her son was destined to leave her, but her daughter, Mekare, survived. Chocola was delighted to have a daughter, and even more delighted at Mekare's interest in books.
