Lore
Neutrality was named the way her sisters were named...by what she displayed as her personality. Dissension was filled with dissension...Peace sowed peace everywhere she went, seeking to keep others from pain...often cleaning up after Dissension. Neutrality? She just didn't care.
With a devil may care attitude, Neutrality sometimes helped Peace clean up after Dissension and occasionally helped Dissension cause problems, but primary...she didn't care.
She was her own dragon and would do her own thing, regardless of her sisters. Some called her the happy medium, others called her the disappointing between.
But no matter what they called her, they didn't realize that she really was the "happy medium." A seer dragon. The first to be born to her clan, and one of the few ever born in the world.
No one in her clan recognized her as a seer dragon, not even when her first word was at two seconds old. They just thought she was an odd child. But, she soon realized that she was different. She saw things none of the other dragons did. And it terrified her.
She longed for a solace, but had no one to go to. In despair, she chose to seek out her sisters, Peace and Dissension in the clan they had moved to.
Dissension was pleased to see her sister, as was Peace, but Neutrality was instantly drawn to the mate of her sister. She knew that if her sister took her interest in SeaKing the wrong way, that she would instantly have hell to pay from Dissension.
But, much to her surprise, SeaKing came up to her one day, an odd look on his face. "Dissension," He said calmly.
"SeaKing," she answered warily, out of habit, checking to be sure Dissension was nowhere in sight.
"What is my name?" He asked.
Neutrality was confused. His name was SeaKing...was it not?
"Neutrality...what's my name?"
"SeaKing?"
"What is my name?" He asked again.
"I...I don't know!"
SeaKing sighed. Perhaps I have underestimated you. Or...maybe, you just need a teacher."
"A teacher? To teach me what?"
"A teacher to guide you."
"Guide me in what?!"
SeaKing turned his back to Neutrality and stared off into the distance. Beyond the water lay lava and fire. From what Neutrality could tell, Dissension had caused this fire clan to become a water clan. He was looking at a specific volcano, one that had lava boiling right at the top, not overflowing, just...bubbling. Neutrality noted to herself that it was indeed an interesting sight.
Yes it is.
"I like how it almost overflows, but it still doesn't."
SeaKing whirled around to face her. "You're a seer dragon. I didn't say anything."
"You didn't?" Neutrality was startled.
"No. I thought it toward you. Your mind is too receptive. We'll need to work on that."
"We will?"
"You're a seer dragon. So am I. I had a bit of help in the beginning, as well as being the most powerful seer dragon born in the line of my parents. You've had no one to help you."
He told her secrets that he had never so much as whispered before, and she told him secrets of her own.
"As a seer...I can't stop anything. It's miserable," SeaKing told her with a sigh. "So I just try to make things happen as peacefully as possible."
"Is that why you're here? According to Peace, ever since she and Dissension have come, things have been...well...."
He nodded.
"Why are you even Dissension's mate?"
SeaKing sighed once more. "She demanded. So, again...peace."
Neutrality nodded. "I can understand that. I...should probably leave. If Dissension sees me, she's going to try to wring my neck. I may be her sister, but...."
"Yes...I understand. Don't feel so alone, Neutrality. And if you ever need to, send me a message in your mind."
As SeaKing walked away, Neutrality closed her eyes and sent a message. Thank you.
And without turning around or even appearing to have heard a thing, SeaKing answered, Of course. Take care.
