Though she is mostly cheery on the outside, Thistlepaw only uses the mask to help her forget her past. After being captured for reasons relating to her sister, she was presumed dead for two years. She tries to forget these years by hiding her scars under her thick fur, but it never works for her.
Backstory
This isn't much of my own story but rather my sister's. See, as we grew up, we had the same goals. That was learning the values Redfur had learned as a kid. Greyfur and I were vastly different, she being of Demonwing's color and I being of Redfur's. She was of a serious nature and I of adventurous. Though we had our differences, our purposes were, simply put, the same.
One day, Greyfur went on a mission and never came home for a long time. Why? None of us knew the answer to that, but we commenced search for her anyway. As a mage's apprentice, I used my magic powers to try to track her down, but it was always to no avail. Soon hope was given up upon and we abandoned the task, accepting the loss. However, I was not as accepting.
No day rolled on where I was not searching for Greyfur.
