Himerance

While wandering about he found some odd old equipment. He played with it until he discovered how it worked. Thus began his quest to take images of the most beautiful things on this world. It is easier with inanimate objects. So many dragons think he will steal their souls with his image boxes. He was happy to come to this lair. He can bind his images into lovely books and share them with anyone who cares to see them.

Sebastian was thrilled with the idea that Himerance had a device for capturing souls. It’s so difficult the traditional way. He did some experiments, with permission from Himerance, of course. The entire lair waited with baited breath over his findings. He sulked into the evening meal, carrying the special equipment. He handed it over to Himerance and announced that it had ZERO ability to steal souls. He walked dejectedly to the offering of seafood for the night, scooped up the whole pile and excused himself, saying he’d be in his den, and that no one should bother him, he still had methods to extract souls, even if the stupid box could not.

Everyone in the lair was overjoyed. Cinnamon insisted that he sit immediately for Himerance. Sartorious suggested Himerance work with Sebastian, when he was feeling better of course, to write a paper on the device with a special emphasis on its inability to steal souls.

Himerance was pleased, he could enjoy his work in peace. He wouldn’t be run off by dragons who feared the unusual box. He had found a home at last.
