L.A.N.E.T. (Laynette)
lightning automated nocturne eliminates threats
Created by two workers from the Shifting Expanse, L.A.N.E.T. was the duo's pride and joy. Designed and programed as a battle robot capable of protecting clans by fighting other robots and beastclans, it was mainly used for just that earning not only praise but also envious eyes that sought to take the robot. One night as it charged, a group of dragons broke into the lair, stole L.A.N.E.T. and destroyed the lair before selling the robot for a high price in black markets. For awhile the robot went on like this, sold, taken apart, commanded to destroy, sold again until it arrived at the black market in the Starfall Isles. By this time it's circuits needed replacing and rendered it unfit for combat resulting in little interest by buyers and was sent to a junkyard where it was found by an Arcane novice inventor and repaired partially (later repaired fully upon the arrival of it's first creator). Impressed by the L.A.N.E.T.'s power core, the inventor mimicked the lightning based power source using Arcane runes and turned on his own robot A.C.P.W.R.. While the two robots interacted and observed dragon kind, they both developed an interest to be 'alive' like them and attempted to act accordingly. Because of Arcane robot's unique rune power source, it had an A.I.-esque feature which made it easier to learn and adapt unlike the lightning based robot. Thinking it to be possibly added by L.A.N.E.T.'s second creator, both robots left the Isles and head back to the junkyard lair. While not yet updated to be on par with A.C.P.W.R.'s A.I like feature, the Lightning bot desires to become 'alive' and no longer be a mere weapon.
