A quest for me to, as my clan profile that I apparently haven't changed in two years put it, get my old FR legs back. The reason I've kind of stagnated is because I don't know what to really do with any of my dragons anymore, so here's to hoping I figure it out.



The Meta Backstory

I've been on Flight Rising since its 1st anniversary. I used to be very active for a good two years until real life really started taking over. I never left completely but I wasn't really playing either. I just went online to keep my dragons fed, brew materials,and update the Festival Hub Masterlist every month.

In the time I took a break:

• The color wheel expanded
• Baldwin turned to a bogsneak
• Everyone can have vistas now
• There are now literally twice as many genes as before
• The exalt page is now element-specific
• The registration window became open forever
• There's more than one eye type now, I literally never imagined this even being possible

Now I find myself with a lair full of mostly 7-digit dragons, none of whom have any of the new colors or eye types or any gene beyond... idk, I think stained was the last gene released when I was truly active. I don't feel like acquiring any more new dragons at the moment because 1) I don't have space and 2) I'm 99% sure they won't fit in lore-wise. I'm also very iffy about letting go of my dragons to free up space because I *love* collecting old dragons. They weren't old before I left but I think they definitely are now. I kinda feel like an earthling pretending to be an acolight with the way I'm holding on to the past like this. Something's got to change.



The Current State of Lore

Here's how I used to run my clan:

• Newcomers from outside the clan are to mate with my progens to become accepted
• Keep the okay babies, train the not-so-okay ones for exalting
• Exalting depended on the breed bonus of the day, facilitated by a Priest/ess dragon who gets exalted themself after seeing 10 dragons off
• When the old Priest/ess gets exalted, Progens breed again and new Priest/ess is selected from that batch, and the cycle starts anew

The meta downfall started when I exalted the first Priestess. I put my progens on a nest to get a new Priest/ess, and they generously gave me 4 new eggs. Unfortunately I don't have any more space for new dragons because for lore reasons, I've decided to cap my lair expansion at 60. It's been 3 years and the nest is still there to this very day. Since I can't hatch the eggs, my lore can't move on.



The Action Plan

1. Figure out strictly how many dragons I want to have permanently (have permanent clan roles), semi-permanently (have clan roles but are bound to be exalted), and temporarily (no other purpose but exalting), within the 60-slots cap
