The first hatchlings of the clan leaders Valk and Rosehip, Echevaria and his sister Basfelt are the most senior of the younger generation. Echevaria, rather spoiled, lives alone in his own annex of the Fae-caves, searching through endless scrolls and causing more than a few explosions with his unstable experiments. He is dedicated to trying to create more virulent poisons or stronger cures through the plants amplified by the Crystalpine Reaches' natural magics, and is usually found, when not holed away in his laboratory, badgering his sister into hauling out his burnt-out cauldrons and replacing them.

Like his father, Echevaria is a terrible fighter, but moreso because he is a coward than for any desire to bring peace. Spineless when confronted and rather selfish, he relies on his mate Martinique to smooth over most of his social blunders and his sister Basfelt for protection on any trips outside the lair. He is known to neglect himself for long periods of time when caught up in his research, and Martinique has become accustomed to dragging him out of the laboratory by the tail in order to ensure he eats at least something once per day. Despite his ungrateful attitude to such attentions, Echevaria and Martinique are one of the most devoted couples in the lair... if only because they rarely see each other.
