Sarabi enjoys making new friends immensely. One day, she decided to leave the Lightweaver's domain with the intention of spreading the light. And what domain needed that light more than any other?

That's how she ended up there - the Tangled Wood. Her affable smile charmed so many of the dragons, yet every clan she visited already had their fair share of light and friendliness. She was beginning to wonder if she had made a wrong choice - perhaps The Scarred Wasteland needed her more? Defeated and unable to find a home she trudged across the shadows, aimlessly.

Then she saw it - a gloomwillow guide, all on her own. She tried to ask what she was doing out here without a dragon companion, but the guide merely held out a selection of trading cards for her to pick from. Confused, Sarabi plucked one and turned it over. "Follow".

Sarabi did as instructed, following the little creature through what she assumed was a purposefuly and intricately created maze, right back to a clan that were hidden on the border of the Forum of the Obscured Crescent and Foxfire Bramble. Sarabi was welcome to stay for as long as she liked, and the dragons seemed welcoming enough.

She stayed at the Jester Lark Inn for a few days, where she met a large amount of dragons that were seeking shelter before they continued their journey. Sarabi loved being able to make so many friends without even needing to move around! It was perfect. When she wasn't making the traveling dragons laugh, she was mingling in with the permanent members of the Forgotten Clan, who enjoyed her company just as much.

In fact, it was a large navy guardian - Starlight - who gifted Sarabi her familiar. The two had been getting along so well, it felt as though they belonged together. It was after this act of kindness that Sarabi made up her mind - if they would allow it, she would stay, and continue spreading kindness and light to the clan and all who pass through. She was delighted when, just moments before she asked the clan leaders, a large group of the clan approached her, asking to stay. Included in the group was Vincent, one of the clan's snobbiest members, and the gloomwillow guide she now knew was named Fade.

The decision from the leaders was a swift, resounding yes. Sarabi became a member of the clan officially, and her chosen job was to be a beacon of light when even the toughest of challenges arose.

Sarabi and the Brightshine Jubilee

Sarabi had settled wonderfully well in the Forgotten Clan. So well, in fact, that she had been chosen to represent their clan for this year's Brightshine Jubilee - she was ecstatic! The bright snapper couldn't wait to return to her homeland and revel in the celebrations. With her familiar companion fluttering at her side, the two bounded away, heading straight for the Sunbeam Ruins.

Her mouth was left agape when she saw it - rows upon rows of beautiful, sweet smelling sunflowers rising from the earth for as far as her light eyes could see. They danced in synchronisation as the soft zephyr borrowed from the Windswept Plateau carefully skipped past her. It was only when her companion skittered in front of her eyes, his contrasting purple fur breaking her trance. Of course! Now they were here, they could enjoy the celebrations properly! But she'd return later, since the organizers were allowing one sunflower to be taken home by each dragon.

Sarabi bounded across the fields, examining the intricate merchandise on sale first. After all, if anything sold out, she'd miss out! She purchased a few sunflower trinkets for her clanmates and was about to move on to the next row of stalls until she caught sight of some artists offering their skills. She commissioned a drawing to take back to her clan, and the dragon behind the stall promised she'd have it completed by the end of the day.

The next row of stalls asked for sign ups - many of them had sadly been filled up already! But a couple of the stalls still requested participants, and Sarabi was only too happy to sign up! Speaking of sign up.... "Quick, go back to the lair, get Starlight!" She exclaimed, pointing a claw towards an inked parchment with the title of "Befriend the Field Critters". As her winged buddy ascended, she took the quill from the gaoler and carefully wrote Starlight's name, followed by her clan. She knew Starlight would be perfect for the mission!

Before she knew it, night had descended. The tendrills of sunlight had fled, leaving behind a pale silvery glow from the moonlight. Sarabi and many other dragons stood out like a sore thumb against the darkness that had encroached upon the land. The sunflowers had all been plucked, and Sarabi felt a twinge of sadness. "Oh no... I forgot to pick up a sunflower for the clan!"

Her sadness was infectious. Her shadowy partner squeaked disconcertedly, fluttering away. "Hey, come back! We need to get home!" She chased the little bat across the ruins, passing other dragons who were gliding the opposite way. "Hey!!" She cried again, following him down a tiny pathway to a little patch of green. She halted suddenly, when she saw it - one solitary sunflower, jostling calmly in the evening wind. The moonlight practically beamed upon it. Her companion landed beside her, squeaking excitedly. "Oh, you really are wonderful!" She exclaimed, giving the bat a big, warm hug.

With her day now over, she plucked the final sunflower in her mouth, and made the journey home. It was the best day she had ever had.
