Rosegold & Blushbeak There's not much to say about these two lovebirds, but boy if they don't shout it to the world how in-love they are, they almost start to get antsy. They frolic and play like hatchlings, with sickeningly cute banter of who loves who more, and who can give the most little kisses. How sweet. Rosegold was already a part of the clan when Blushbeak showed up in all her glory, and he was instantly smitten with her. He tried to start slow with an introduction, but they hit it off so well that they went straight for getting each other all kinds of gifts and apparel. Although his father Magefrill left long ago, his grandfather Petalscent still stops by to visit between acrobatics shows, and loves to hear updates on the relationship. The question of when they'll have some hatchlings of their own comes up rather often, but they're never quite ready for the responsibility. |

"It's a funny story, you know, about my grandparents?" Rosegold was sitting with his lovely mate, Blushbeak, a similarly soft-pink nocturne. He shuffled a bit, clearly embarrassed, "I know it's silly, but I never really talked to anyone about this. You see... Grandpa Petal is my dad's dad and Grandma Spire is actually my mom's mom. That's how they met." The nocturne looked surprised, but nodded quietly. "When they found out that their kids- my parents- were having hatchlings, my grandparents were very excited and hung around to help with their first clutch."
"See, neither of them had a mate by this point. They both had more adventurous hearts than the dragon they were originally with, and they had plenty more in common. They grew really close during the time that my parents were protecting their first clutch, connecting over their love of big performances and travel. Eventually they decided to reinvent themselves, move beyond their past, and become The Dancing Duo everyone knows and loves!"
