Though Berruth and the rest of his teaching staff are not members of the Order they are responsible for the education of all the young dragons in the Tikindi lands. It doesn't matter if they're children of the Order, of the Guards, or even of the Ambassadors, Berruth and his Staff teach them all. And Berruth treats them all in exactly the same way, too. There is no favouritism here, no regard for rank. He's firm (some would say strict) but he's very fair.

Though many of his young students regard him as being very dry and humourless the simple fact is that he takes their education very seriously. Berruth firmly believes that any dragon can learn if given the right instruction and the right motivation - if they want to. He has endless patience with those that need extra tuition, or who find the classes difficult. Those who simply do not apply themselves... well, they're the ones who will call him stern.

Outside of the teaching environment he's actually a kindly gent; very proper, very polite, but always with a gentle word or smile for everyone.
