The Creator
Strainet doesn't like the term "inventor." Nor is she particularly fond of "researcher." She is a creator, nothing more and nothing less. Her creations were important to her from a very young age, when she built her steam-powered wings to enable her to fly despite a serious illness that temporarily robbed her of any muscle control in her wings.
While her wings have recovered, she always wears her exoskeleton, to remind her how valuable the ability to create can be. She tries to cultivate this ability whenever she can, and can usually be found tinkering with various parts - sometimes even in midair when the clan is on the move.
She loves when her friends bring her bits of raw iron, steel, or copper, because there is nothing that she loves more than taking something simple and making it wonderful. Her little contraptions may not be life-saving most of the time, but they are definitely useful, and that is all she could possibly ask for.
