Poppy is the unofficial clan gossip. A dragon who knows everything that's going on in the region, and one who is willing to buy reliable information. Poppy is the dragon who you go to to buy and sell information. She usually has the knowledge you're seeking, and could be willing to relinquish what she knows... For a price. Poppy deals in information, so what she is looking for is usually more gossip and secrets, which you can share with her, over a cup of her famously well-brewed tea.
Poppy is not directly affiliated with the Broken Horn Clan, but enjoys their protection, and resides in their territory. She's an invaluable resource for those seeking information, and tolerated for that reason. But many officers and even Mousie and Myrtus themselves suspect that she has spies within the clan. Perhaps even some in high places. The things that she knows are uncannily accurate, and much of her information is considered confidential by the clan's officers. They begrudgingly rely on her knowledge though. Many tips from the Pearlcatcher have been critical in tamping down dissent and preempting raids.
Poppy has set up many temporary residences on the outskirts of the clan's territory, and frequently travels between them. Her location, though, is always visible to those who want to find her, as she ties a balloon to the home she is currently living in, which flies above the treeline. It is a clear signal to those who seek her council.
