Found abandoned, Sapha's Light egg was picked up by the most unlikely of dragons - the plague dragon Damaroth. Not one to often show kindness, the other members of the clan were totally surprised when he returned to the lair with the egg tucked carefully against his feathery breast. Few know that he too was an orphan, and had been taken in by the Nature clan despite his origins. Showing uncharacteristic affection, Damaroth was there when the egg hatched, and though there were others nearby as well, the hatchling quickly imprinted on him. Perhaps a sort of bond had formed between them when he had saved her, nothing can be certain, but even as Sapha was taken under Ryu's wing to become an entertainer, she was often found in Damaroth's company.

After Ryu's departure, Sapha became the main entertainer and teacher for future generations of artists. In particular, she excells at helping new dragons integrate into the clan, particularly after each Illumination. Whenever an occasion presents itself, Sapha is the first one to begin planning a celebration of some kind, vehemently supporting the creed of 'excessive smiling brings a long life'. She has her work cut out for her with Damaroth, but so far she hasn't shown any signs of struggling. If the usually glowering skydancer ever smiles, it's probably in private because so far nobody has seen it actually happen.

~In the world of Tau'ir, Sapha is the Guardian of music and the arts. She holds an unrequited love for the Guardian of the sea and has an ongoing relationship with the Guardian of the Moon which had a really rocky start since he originally disguised himself to look like the Guardian of the sea in order to trick Sapha into sleeping with him, but since then a lot has happened and things are going well.
