Though born in the Arcane flight, Thane was not born with the gift of magic. Try as he might, he could never get a grasp of how to control magic, nor any other elemental powers. Shamed from his own clan, he spent his formative years wandering Sornieth. He grew skilled at swordsmanship and grew to make a living working as a bodyguard, mercenary, and hired hand.

After doing some work for Laurent, the fae eventually convinced Thane to join his clan. It was his first time living with other dragons since he was a hatchling, and he was surprised to find Lightning dragons did not value magic and academics like Arcane, but cared more about his ambitions. While still doing odd jobs on the side, he spends most of his days defending his new clan.

Thane is a "street smarts" type of dragon, and does not enjoy reading or learning beyond what he can use practically. Although he struggles with being too aggressive and impulsive, the mirror wants above all else to prove that he is worthwhile. Thane still carries a strong aversion to magic users from his childhood, wary of their powers and their status over him.

But as he spends more time with Lord, a water-wielding mirror, he's starting to wonder if they're not all so bad.
