Biography

PERLO
Appraiser, Merchant

Prim | Proper | Friendly

I5p64Yz.gif Although the Duronne Clan is not his birth clan, Perlo entered the clan shortly after he was old enough to stand. With Avriel and Avella absent on a short jaunt to a neighbouring clan, he was left into the most capable paws of Alpheus. Although the Imperial was well-meaning, he had coarse language, and soon enough, the small Nocturne hatchling had picked up curses filthy enough to even shock the battle-hardened Abyssal into disapproving silence. However, after discovering Perlo happily chirping oaths, Hasamelis intervened, and took it upon himself and Tranquility to raise the hatchling. Much to their relief, they managed to train Perlo out of his coarse language.
Proving himself to be bright, friendly and inquisitive, the hatchling redeemed himself, and soon the clan was happy to forgive and forget the foul language that he had first exhibited. After Sindar brought him along with her to conduct business with several neighbouring clans, the Skydancer had to struggle to tear him away from the other clan's merchant and appraiser. When he was seen as independent and given free reign to leave the lair, Perlo soon spent great amounts of time visiting friendly clans, schooling himself on how to value objects within the clan's hoard.

Nowadays, he is the clan's merchant, conducting trades and barters with other clans, and valuing various objects within the hoard to demand a fair price. Always sunny and cheerful, many dragons seek his companionship when they want company. Despite his initial coarseness in his early childhood, he is very proper now- perhaps even overcompensating at times. He has never been heard to swear again since his hatchling years- not even when he was involved in an accident involving a heavy branch while he was flying in a storm that would have left even the mild Tranquility cursing until the air grew thick with oaths.
