Cinder was hatched into a wind clan and just seconds after breaking through her shell, she became fascinated by the sound of the wind blowing softly over her nest. Frequently throughout her adolescence, she would escape the clamor of her large family by flying away to the highest hill she could find. She would then lay on her back and soak in what she considered the be the beautiful rhythm of the breeze. As she got older, Cinder felt increasingly troubled and lost whenever in her mass of siblings, half-siblings, and chatty clanmates in general. As a shy, reserved, dragon, she preferred to go to her secluded hill more and more often. Before she had even reached maturity, she ran away from her clan in search of another Windsinger-worshiping group. Cinder traveled for many interminable days until she ran into the leader of her current clan, Lilac, who was in search of more members for her clan. Although Lilac was a water dragon herself, Cinder appreciated her sense of loyalty and how she stressed the importance of serenity and quiet. Cinder joined her clan and pledged alliance to the Tidelord, although not until Lilac agreed that Cinder could be the clan's "songwriter." To this day, she still enjoys leaving the wetness of her new clan's cave every now and then and coasting through the breeze. She will be often be found by her clanmates unintentionally humming out a new tune, and the den mothers of the clan consider themselves indebted to her for humming the hatchlings to sleep each night.
