Ophelia's first memory is of her mother digging her claws into the hide of another dragon. She can never quite remember the breed. All she remembers is the first splash of hot blood against her feathers and the way her mother curled around her afterwards, silent for hours.

Her second memory is also of her mother. The way her eyes turned wild, as if her soul was trying to escape the body that was failing her. She remembers the way they twitched, and eventually turned glassy, gazing at nothing. Ophelia didn't remember much after that.

Her third memory is of dancing lights. Her mother, a new mother, tiny and full of promises, lit up the sky with magic, her face lighting up as well when she made her new daughter smile.

Ophelia was taken in by Myx and Aidan after they found her on the edge of Arcane territory. Although raised as their daughter and heiress to the clan, she can't seem to shake her upbringing and instincts. She needs time to build trust in relationships and friends. Her parents and best friend Aether, also taken in by Myx, are the only ones she trusts unconditionally.
