||Clan Role|| Warrior (Squad mates: Ignacia, Gerome) ||Character Traits & Personality|| A mysterious and battle-hungry individual, he typically keeps to himself. Not prone to speaking, though has a very expressive face, and often uses that as a substitute. When he does speak, it's often creepy and rather chilling. He isn't always comfortable with clan customs and ways, though he attempts to understand. Incredibly loyal, even if sometimes his methods of fighting are unorthodox. While off-putting, those that know him when say he's actually a huge dork. He generally has very little against any dragon personally, but that won't stop him from battling them. ||Talents/Skills|| Blending into shadows, fighting, solving puzzles, abstract thinking, knowledgeable about the Shade ||Likes & Dislikes|| Darkness, puzzles, fighting, his mate, his leaders / Light, oppression, evil ||Mate|| Avalon ||History|| Lykos came to the clan led by his familiar, and few knew who the strange dragon was or why some otherworldly, oppressive darkness seemed to roll off his scales. Many were wary of allowing him rest in the clan, especially the newly-made priest, Almus. Others--specifically Valentine and Galaxy--argued that he was injured, and that they should at least give him shelter for a while. Rava reluctantly agreed, with the stipulation that a guard should be kept on him at all times. Iri protested fiercely, pointing out that they didn't treat other guests this way, and implored Almus to speak to him, since he'd instigated the problem. While Lykos didn't mind the priest on a personal level, something about him rubbed him the wrong way, and clearly the Skydancer felt similarly. Moreover, he desired to be back out fighting again. Despite this, he and Almus gradually developed a strange sort of companionship, and Lykos grew increasingly interested in clan life. He debated leaving his old ways behind, but was dragged back into them when the clan faced a battle with the Beast Clans, and he remembered how much he enjoyed fighting. Almus revealed the truth of his strange darkness--he was shade-touched, and the monster infected his psyche. Lykos expected Almus to reveal the secret to the rest of the clan, but instead the dragon attempted to convince him to take a different path. He and Almus fought, and Lykos fled, frustrated and confused about his lifestyle. He attempted to confront the Shade--once his patron--with these confused feelings, but found he couldn't call it back. He ended up returning to the clan and fighting for its benefit when the Beast Clans they'd fought previously returned for a counter-attack and decided to try clan life, to perhaps better understand them and his own feelings. While donning different armor and becoming a strange sort of hero, it wasn't until meeting Avalon, a fellow outcast, and seeing how she saw life that he started to truly understand, and he ended up fighting a mental battle against the bits of the Shade inside him. While he'll probably struggle the rest of his life with the Shade's influence, and he still has a natural affinity for that sort of magic, he is no longer interested in being the creature's pawn. |
