While Viper cares for domestication of beast familiars, Arian finishes the tasks by training them for their future duties. He is an unusually observant Fae, carefully watching the familiars and calmly guiding them through the motions and commands. He has the final word on if the beast is worthy of becoming a familiar or is too wild or unwilling to bend to domestication. In the second case, he allows them to choose between returning back to their home or living on the ranch and living an idyllic life of being cared for the rest of their life.

Often he can be seen riding on his Mossy Cerdae around the ranch, overseeing his beasts with a careful eye. He is a rather popular dragon when hatchlings are around because he gives the best tours and shows you the animals that can be pet and interacted with.
