Fruitloops
"Fear me! I am the mighty Fruitloops! W-why are you laughing?"
Within the Lightning Flight, two Dragons named Winterscall and Song gave birth to rather sweet and interesting Welps. Among these Welps was Fruitloops. From the very moments out of her egg, her parents knew that she was a Dragon with attitude. Her size was smaller than her other siblings, but that didn't stop her from fighting and challenging them to many fights and games. She was fearless! In her Welphood, she proved that her size didn't matter. She progressed faster than her siblings and was able to do the higher level challenges that came from her Teachings. Her parents, proud of their daughter, knew that she was going to go far in her life.
When Fruitloops grew to adulthood, she grew restless from the usual activities around her Flight, and she was called towards adventure. Her parents could see her restlessness and through constant provoking, she was convinced to leave and travel the world.
In her travels, she encountered many interesting and (mostly) dangerous animals and sometimes even other Dragons. But one was more interesting than the others. An Arcanist Dragon named Relior. She had come across his cave, which was hidden behind two large pine trees. The cave was cool and a small breeze coming from deep within it's darkness. Feeling the cool breeze invited her in. Dropping her packs, she stretched her wings and fluffed her feather before settling down and resting.
"Who are you?" A gruff voice came from behind her, causing her to jump.
"O-oh! I'm sorry!" She looked around, noticing now the items and the small fire that was placed in the cave.
"Let me ask again. Who are you?" The dragon, a large Snapper came from within the darkness and stared down at her.
She gulped and fluffed her feathers again. She wasn't going to let his size scare her! "My name is Fruitloops!" Her vivacity was clear to see.
The Snapper stared at and began to laugh. This made her fluff her feathers even more. Why was he laughing? Didn't he know how rude that was! He clearly had no manners at all!
"Excuse you! How dare you laugh at my expense!"
"I'm sorry young one. Your name is the most unique name I have ever heard." He shook his head.
"That's no excuse for laughing!" She huffed. The Snapper shook his head again and headed back into the cave. She sighed and watched him go. She was perplexed! She had never had anyone laugh at her name before. As she stood there, she could hear clinking come from the back of the cave. Adjusting her eyes, she could see vials of potions and trinkets and such. Tilting her head, she walked further in. "What are you doing?"
"I am creating, young one." He said vaguely.
"I can see that! What are you creating? It smells weird."
"I am an alchemist, Fruitloops. I make potions and salves for other Dragons. At a price of course. " He gave her a small wink.
"Really?" She looked at all the interesting things and smiled. This was the most interesting thing that she had seen. She sniffed all the different items that were on the table made of rock. The Snapper laughed at her and motioned for her to come over to what he was working on.
"I am working on a new potion. Would you like to help?" He asked.
She smiled and nodded vigorously. This was all new and interesting to her. For months, Fruitloops began to work with the old Snapper, learning alchemy and even creating her own potion, which she named of course Fruitloops! She became stronger and was able to make enough to sell. When she grew restless again, she knew it was time to leave and make a home for herself. The Snapper was okay with this, knowing that his time was coming to an end. She gathered up her items and her creations to sell along the way, and started her new journey. After a few months, she came to the Wind Flight. With further searching, she was able to find a home within a clan. They brought her in and relished at her skills in alchemy. She decided to stay and work for this clan, creating potions and healing salves for the warriors and fighters.
She had a lot to be thankful for, especially that old Snapper. Without him, she wouldn't be as successful or as happy as she was today.
