Animus came to the Scarred Wasteland on a crusade of his own: to create an oasis within the realm of unrelenting plague. Accompanied only by Impetus and armed with a clawful of seeds, he disappeared into the wastes, and the few who knew of his mission considered him lost.

As it happened, Animus was not lost--he stumbled across the Alliance, and accepting their offer to stop and rest quickly turned into a much longer-term residency. Realizing he needed others, many others, to make his vision possible, Animus settled down and began attempting to sway his new clan to his cause, forming a movement within the Alliance known as the Jade Revolution.

Despite its opposition to their ways, the Crimson Crusade have eagerly welcomed the Revolution, believing competition makes their own message stronger. On a personal level, however, Hemlock's distaste for Animus is well known within the Alliance--though it seems to be an issue of the language barrier between Coatl and Fae as much as any conflict of their personalities or favored elements.

The Crimsonbound Alliance was forged in the harshness of the Scarred Wasteland, as many disparate groups of dragons banded together to survive. When Sorneith's magic surged, the Alliance's lair was ripped from its place, warped into the Ashfall Wastes by an unknown force. Now the Alliance is united in two goals: surviving their new home, and finding some way to return the lair to where it belongs.
The Jade Revolution is a Nature-born movement that rejects the teachings of the Plague outright. They aren't particularly pleased with the barren Ashfall Wastes, either.
