Kivuli was from the very early days of an older clan. He was very kind and gentle in his past life, but that was the past. Kivuli had been killed in a war, however his soul was never truly dead. His lover, Risda, wrote about him and his soul became bound to her. He was never granted to rest in peace.

After a few years of watching Risda wander the world trying to find a place to settle in again, she found Tenet Noctis and began her massacre. He watched it start, as she got closer and closer to all the dragons Kivuli knew her dark plan. One night, Risda summoned him back from the dead. After being raised again, he lost all emotion. While his logic is still there and very strong, he feels no emotion. However, he is very laid back and prefers to do things the easy way.

He knows Risda very well and tends to think for her since she seems to never think. Many of the dragons claim he has a piercing cold gaze and that he doesn't breathe normally but no one knows that he had been back from the dead. He doesn't need to eat or drink or breathe to survive. How does he stay alive? Risda doesn't really know herself. It is very dark magic that she dabbled with to bring him back, and he is very very aware of this.

Plutina and him do not get a long very well, Kivuli suspects that Plutina is aware of what Risda did to bring him back. He never asks, he doesn't want to ruffle anyone's scales if he doesn't have to.
