Sparky

With an artist's eye for potential (including draping the blank canvas of his wings with decoration), Sparky is king in title even if he declines to use it. Content to hoard found notes and talk to his familiar Fensworth, he lets his wife do most of the ruling. He consents to making casual decisions though. And, of course, listens to Queen Mab's rants or when she speaks to herself, him, and no one all at once. Just like his wife passion has a death grip on his soul, though Sparky's is expressed more in honing in on tiny details of everything he encounters than emotional outbursts. The Coliseum is a place to admire Queen Mab, first and foremost. Though it's also a useful place to watch monsters and indulge in the occasional urge to wreck things. Fensworth is an intelligent familiar, and with him Sparky will often come up with new places or topics for them to explore together. His perky little curious calico is named Snuffy.

He loves his wife Queen Mab with the balance of easy nonchalance, occasional reassuring possessiveness, and grounding that he knows she relishes. She is the focus or at least side view of many of his thoughts; when he comes up for air from whatever topic he's obsessing over in-depth for the week that is. An open relationship gives him the freedom of exploration and delightful adventure that it does Queen Mab. She suggested it, and he happily accepted her idea. The technically-king has a sound idea of how much freedom is good for children and when it becomes too much, and he keeps his children Trista, Morgana, and Koran in that comfortable middle ground with ease. After all, during the incubation period he obsessed over parenting scrolls.
