Dragons loomed over the land, enemies surveyed and terrain scanned.
Claws armed with venom and spite, the alarm is sounded and all must fight.
Teeth barred and bodies armored, ready for battle the warriors launch skyward.
Bodies clash and flesh is torn, wings a flurry as scales are shorn.
Jaws strike meat and sink into bone, somewhere close a spear is thrown.
It meets its mark, a cry is heard, the dragon falls without a word.
Steel finds steel as weapons clash, dragons meet the ground with a terrible crash.
Our hero falls, her wings have been shredded. The battle rages on, this moment she has dreaded.
She no longer has flight, but still she can fight.
As she crawls on the ground, there's still more combat to be found.
With wings tucked in and bloodied, claws and belly muddied,
Our hero strikes fast and true, every foe before her slew.
By the end of it all she is worse for wear, her injured wings damaged beyond repair.
Slashed and filthy her squadron victorious, emerging from battle alive and celebratorious.
We've won! We've won! The deed is done! The fight is over! We've won! We're done!
