Rigel found his way to Blodyn's lair by coincidence, when he saw her, he was very impressed by her. Over time he grew very fond to her and even fell in love, Blodyn only seems to tolerate him, but we all know that she loves him back.
He's kind and helpful to every new dragon teaching them the rules and useful skills, in particular he is training Herba to become the new nurse and shaman for the clan.
