Nimbus was once much more expressive; an openly kind and caring dragon with a fondness for smaller creatures. This was until she contracted her disease. Masses of jasper and strange fungus sprouted across her body, causing others to begin to avoid her. When she was eventually banished from her family for this affliction, she stayed strong, and with the company of her familiar began to take care of herself from a young age. Despite pleading with him to stay with her family for his own safety, her companion insisted on leaving with her and inevitably became inflicted with the same illness. Newly toughened and reserved, Nimbus became closed off to anyone that she didn't completely and utterly trust.
The most notable dragon to earn a rapport with her is Hopkins, a fellow diseased dragon who found her by chance during one of her solitary outings. These outings consisted of her using rough materials, such as broken glass, to scrape off and remove as much of the fungus from her body as she can. Placing the mushrooms in a circle on the ground, she relishes in the concept of this makeshift ritual, or any magical healing for that matter, healing her and restoring her previous vitality. After stumbling upon her creating one of these circles, Hopkins, a healer himself, began a friendship with her and eventually became her mate.
