Bio

Needlenose is originally from Arcane, but moved into Bluecupcake's layer at 5 hours old. He has always been very afraid of water, even more then other Ridgebacks. He always wears his Sword of the Ocean skin and claims that it "tricks" coliseum enemies that he is from the water flight. Very few dragons have seen him without his skin. He is known to occasionally switch his skin, typically around festival times and on rare occasions take off his skin.

He is more easy going than the other dragons and seems to think without acting. This means that he often gets into trouble. One day he decided to charge at a butterfly using his nose as a lance and hoping he would skewer it. He then succeeded only to have his nose stuck in the cracks of a rock. It took a few hours for the other dragons to be able to pull him out.

Needlenose is a fully trained Mire Flyer and is in charge of training the younger dragons. Whether they're becoming a coliseum master themselves or on the way to the deities they've probably had some training from him at some point. This means that he is in charge of babysitting and helping dealing with their shenanigans while on trips. Most of them view him not as a parent, but more as that weird uncle that you're still not sure is related to your mom even though you've been told time and time again he is.

Training
Needlenose has finished his training as Mire Flyer. He got all of his training from Anaster and Ind in the Kelp Beds. His training wasn't easy, especially since the Kelp Beds is in a bubble under the ocean and he hates water. Nonetheless he got through it, but not without getting a little wet along the way. He prefers the Mire much more, but will still freak out if he steps in the more marshy parts and on occasion demand that the trainees carry him over the worst parts.

Taken from Chiffon's diary:

He’s crazy! Possibly insane! I don’t understand at all. I mean he’s clearly skilled and all but he sure doesn’t act like it. He hasn’t even taken the time to teach me anything. I don’t think my skills have increased at all! Except for maybe pain endurance, I’ve been able to take more attacks before fainting. I don’t understand why he is in charge of training me. I could have been trained by so many others like Anaster and Ind, Enigma, Reaver… He acts like a baby all the time. I don’t even think he likes the Mire, so why is he the master of it? The other day he stepped in the marsh and totally freaked out. Like I though ridgebacks hated water, but even this was a little much. Then he complained like crazy and demanded that I carry him the rest of the way. Ow, my wings are so sore! Couldn’t he just fly over the marsh?!? Every time we encounter enemies he defeats them before I can even do anything. He’s actually terrifying when he fights. I know I wouldn’t want to get on his bad side. He slows down time somehow, gathers his strength, and then uses this super powerful attack to defeat them. I think it’s called Eliminate? I wish he would teach me it. On occasion he’ll do something heroic like jump in front of an enemy attack and he always carries me safely out of the Mire when I faint. Though I still think he’s crazy. I hope he actually teaches me something soon!
