Although many dragons that are granted the power of the shade claim that they can control it, Baba Zaza is one of the few that has actually been able do to it. Noone knows how old she is or where she even came from; the only thing you know for sure is that your grandparents grandparents knew her, and their grandparents too, and all of them claim that she hasn't aged a day.
Everyone was shocked when she took in an apprentice, and they were especially shocked when it turned out to be the coward Throoz. Noone could remember that she had ever taken an apprentice, and noone thought that her choice was a good one. Of course, noone would ever dare tell her that.
To this day, she lives in her cottage by the swamp with Throoz, taking care of all of Clan Chimeras dead, whether they be an imperial or a cat. Everyone will get taken care of by Baba Zaza, and believer or not, noone ever doubts her ability to lead their loved ones to the afterlife.
