About
Rubena was always fascinated with watching her mother prepare meals and couldn’t wait until she was old enough to handle kitchen instruments herself. Her patience and observance paid off as she seemed to be a natural. Everything she made turned out fabulously.

As she got older and her recipe repertoire increased, Rubena set her sights on opening her own restaurant. She knew she could do it she just needed to sort all the fussy details of where it would be and what she would call it. She’d get her answers soon enough.

While she stayed with some friends in the Lavaflow Province, she met an ambassador from a neighboring territory named Brandr. Her friends invited him to dinner and Rubena cooked the meal. He was smitten with the fine flavors and in turn invited Rubena to return to the Land of Colored Sand with him. She took him up on his offer and was soon cooking meals for the clan elders.

In the Water Flight Rubena found inspiration in the native crimson fish whose name was similar to her own. She received blessings from the clan council and opened The Ruby Tetra.



Etymology: The name "Rubena" means "like a ruby" in Esperanto.
