On Bloodmarks:

According to urban legend, some dragons are born with blood on their skin, the possibility of a bloody future too inevitable to be less than etched into their bones. For most dragons, the bloodmarks appear over a period of time: probably the most famous example of this is the tale of the Reaper, how the blood of her kills seeped into her skin and made her just that much more terrifying.

However, bloodmarks often appear on agents of all kinds, with a specific preference for the most conflicted killers. And, after all, the Dust Devils aren't exactly known for their avoidance of violence: bloodmarks are starting to appear on even the most peaceful of the clan.

Despite this, bloodmarks don't necessarily denote a particular bent towards violence: Curbstomp's sister and father have had the bloodmarks too, and they never went on a murderous rampage. It's entirely possible that the bloodmarks are entirely coincidental.
