He hears things.
He hears things from other realms, from the ones inside his head, the ones which are right next to us. He hears them scream, he hears them cry, he hears them laugh, he hears their every wish and whine.
He sees things.
He sees them come and go, as they run through us, whatever they are. He sees their every move, even the tiniest tremble, as they close in on us, on him. He sees them suffocating, fainting, dying, and rising to the heavens.
And the heavens are full of agony, and the gods suffer. But they don't see.
Only he sees.

Toxic is an interesting, yet frightening character. He has a good heart inside a polluted, cursed body, and a sick mind with no way to heal it. He's ill, but he's not dying. He's alive, but he's not living. With another skull permanently attached to his own for both a decoration and a curse, his brain has been damaged and views of this world altered to the point where he claims to be able to see and hear the dead, but there is no way to prove it, which is driving him even more insane than the high pitched whimpers he hears on a daily basis. There's no way to heal him without simultaneously killing him, which is both imprisoning and freeing him at the same time.
