Dawn

It was late in the Fortress of Ends, the moon glaring upon the world below. Snow was softly falling upon the kingdom of ice, it was peaceful. This was rare in the Ice flight, especially in the Fortress of Ends, as most of the year is filled with roaring blizzards. Among the Ice flight there is a clan, believed to be the strongest of the flight, ruled by a cutthroat leader who goes by the name of Mordida. This clan was very well known for its thriving hatchery, although the clan leader and his mate Xeo hadn't ever given birth to an egg. Until one fateful day Mordida and his mate gave birth to a rather bright egg. The parents thought nothing of it, and continued their every day lives, but anticipating the outcome of their hatchling.

After 6 days of waiting their egg finally hatched, and out came a gorgeous female dragonet wh was to be named Dawn. As the days went on the young dragon got more and more curious, always asking questions, and always wanting to explore. But to her disadvantage Moridida was always keeping a close eye on his daughter, weather she liked it or not. Where ever she went she was to always have a chaperon, though Dawn had other ideas, she was always trying to leave the clan borders, since her dream was to travel the world, and visit every flight. But her father wouldn't listen to her pleas, he would always tell her she wasn't ready. Though one day, when her father was discussing business with bordering clans, young Dawn took this as her chance to escape, ant though she loved her father and clan very much, she knew that wasn't her place to stay.
