Ryuu

Ryuu is a reserved and intelligent dragon, He is an Ex-Elite Assassin few know where he is from or what he did, those that do will not speak of it. he is the General of the scouts and takes pride in his work. He once mated with a mirror dragon named Senet, she was beautiful and they had five children. Once the children were old enough to open their eyes and walk on their own Ryuu went back to scouting. That night he had a bad feeling leaving his mate and children alone, but he dismissed it as overprotective anxiety. On his way back he found that his mate had taken the kids out to greet him, but was attacked. Senet and his son, Akrail were dead, and with three more missing he was devastated. He curled around his former mate and soon heard someone whining, he lifted Senet and found one of the unaccounted for hatchlings. It was Tara she was curled up underneath her mother. He brought her back and has never talked about that night or talked much at all since. Once Tara was full grown and found a mate Ryuu started to take missions that were farther away.

Rushing out of the brush he tacked the female pinning her down in the dirt. The female spat and hissed at him, he tied her up with the rope he kept in his bag and began to interrogate her as to the reason she was in their territory. He learned that her name was Jira, she hated her former clan and was looking for a new one to join. He led her to Omni the clan leader for judgment, Omni came to the conclusion that this dragon was no threat and offered that she join them on the condition that Ryuu keeps a close eye on her for the time being. She hastily accepted, Ryuu kept an eye on her for weeks with no sign of being any threat. The more time he spent with this dragon that happier he was, he reported his findings to Omni and he officially welcomed her to the clan. Ryuu started to notice Jira becoming more and more friendly with him and he with her, they later became mates but Ryuu keeps a close eye on Jira worried that he will lose her like he did with his previous mate.

Ryuu began to train his son and one of his fellow assassins child Celestin. When the time came to "graduate" and officially be an Assassin Celestin backed out and decided that he would rather "be a sheep" than start killing for a living. His son did exemplary and Ryuu gave his son a mark that every assassin family has, while Ryuu is the one who started and had to create his own it was still a proof of his lineage and determination.

As if the fates were against him, his second mate Jira left to find more impressive battles. Leaving him alone again, a few days went by and received word of her death. May the fates be kind on this dragon here on out....

]n light of his recent mates, death Ryuu started burying himself in reinvestigating his first mate Senet's murder. This did not go unnoticed by those in the clan. He avoided people including his own children, becoming hard to read and started "working" again. Omni was often seen giving Ryuu a disgusted look, and occasionally taking to him with the constant end result was Ryuu walking away clearly not caring about whatever the Imperial was disputing with him. Omni knew that Ryuu was an Assassin, but Ryuu had stopped soon after meeting Senet. Omni often thought he would go back after her death, but he stayed to raise his surviving child. This had set Omni's worries about losing not only a teacher, and an ally, but a friend to rest. When Ryuu started to become distant Omni confronted him and found out he was back to killing, Omni was shocked and upset, not because he was taking up his old profession. He was upset that instead of facing the reality of his mate's death he was taking up killing people as some sort of sick coping mechanism.


The trail of Senet's murder ran cold after he was able to track it to the Shadow flight territory. Having a child to look after at the time he gave up the hunt and focused on being a parent. Now that he had lost his second mate he was furious and sure that whoever had killed Senet must have targeted Jira as well. This time would be different, this time, he was going to find and kill those who killed his family. He would show no remorse and he thought that the best way to lure them out was to go back into the work of assassination and start strengthening his reputation back to its former state before he went off of the radar.

One late afternoon Ryuu requested a private audience with Omni and proceeded to tell Omni " You should not expect me to be around. I will be leaving on trips that I don't know the duration of. If you are need of my particular skills, refer to my son Atiko he is skilled in these arts. His training is complete and can directly serve you in my absence....Yet should you need to contact me in an emergency use this." Ryuu gave Omni a small scroll encased in a tube. "Give this to any messenger and they will know what to do" with that he disappeared into the ever falling night.

Months passed and some in the clan said they saw him in the shadows on the walls, while others say that he must have been exiled, based on the facts that he became so distant and constantly fighting with Omni. The clan was very confused, particularly those who had been with the clan since the death of Senet. They never suspected that Ryuu would leave, his friends and enemies in the clan were unnerved by him leaving. Those who were not found of him still understood the asset that he, was when it came to protecting the clan, everyone was uneased by his departure.

Making his way through the land following assignment to assignment. Ryuu decided to pass through the wind clan to check on his daughter Cell but he did not feel like talking to anyone so waited around till dusk. He saw that she had kids and that the father was abusive. Quickly going to a trusted intelligence gatherer he is told that the father basically forced Cell to have kids with him. Outraged Ryuu snuck into the clan in the night and sliced open the unsuspecting imperials throats and left him to bleed out before continuing his hunt for the killer of his mate. Farther and farther Ryuu wades his way through the fog of shadow territory tracking the trail of the killer.

At last The trail lead him to a cave, there was a faint scent of smoke and fresh tracks showing that the presumed killer had just left to hunt. By looking at the tracks he could tell it was a guardian. Covering his tracks as he went he crept into the cave, the walls were covered in charcoal drawings pinned to the walls and plans for various criminal activities covered the floor. Looking at the dragons on the wall he recognized many deceased dragons reading the names on the bottom he remembered that most of the dragons on the wall were murdered, as he turned down a passage still following the drawings of dragons the pages got more aged the deeper he went. Then he saw it...Senet…Jira….a rage filled him like never before. THIS DRAGON KILLED THEM! Taking a minute to compose himself he relaxed and pushed his emotions aside. It sounded like the guardian had returned. He quickly darted down the hall as quietly as he could as he reached the end he looked once more at the drawings to his left and saw three hatchlings, as he inspected the paper and read the names he realized that these hatchlings were Freya's, the leader of a neighboring wind clan that his daughter and many acquaintances were a part of...He took the paper and neatly folded it and putting it in his bag.

Slowly walking out he snuck up behind the guardian and ripped off his wings. Smirking he took off his mask he kicked the guardian as he yelled in pain to the side of the room. Looking down he saw that the guardian was drawing a new drawing but in pen this time “So this was your new victim, huh, I think that I wanna draw a picture what do you think?” grabbing the pen he stabbed it into the neck of the guardian and slit his throat slowly. After the guardian stopped moving he dipped the pen in the blood of guardian and drew the corpse on the paper, Writing a small note on the back for Freya he waited for it to dry as he recorded the names of all of the victims on a separate piece of paper so the family of theses dragons would know that the killer of their loved one was dead. Once it was all done he ate the food that the guardian had brought in and returned home.
