Relic? What kind of a name is that?
You have no idea how accurate it really is.

Relic is more mysterious than any of the other dragons realise. Nobody knows his story, other than me. Just like nobody understood why he was so protective over Rory. He showed no interest in any of the other dragons until she showed up. Even as a hatchling he taught her everything, how to survive, how to fight, how to take care of a familiar. Usually that's the older dragons' jobs, but he took it upon himself to show the Imperial everything. Why?
Relic has travelled through time.
Back to before dragons and humans worked together. Forward to when the dragons started dying out. He knows Rory, from another time. He loves Rory, but she has no idea. Yet.
