Cheshire became an astrologer in order to better understand the Arcanist. He sleeps throughout the day and spends his nights in high places gazing up at the stars. Despite his scholarly nature, he's also one of the clan's top fighters when the need arises. When a pale guardian invited Cheshire to her place in the Hewn City for the night, he found himself accepting her offer. It wasn't attraction that caused him to follow Maiya. She was pretty, but Cheshire found himself more interested in her other traveling companions, a lightning Mirror and fire Snapper. What could cause such an odd group to seek him out in the middle of the night and why did they keep talking about a door?
